host name and ip address could not be found in virtual rounter when windows hotspot could not connect

Some time ago, I wanted to download some Apps on my Window 8 Phone but no Internet connection and I considered it a big problem to me meanwhile I have pending subscription and fast internet access on  my PC. So I decided to use my PC hotspot. unfortunately, my Phone couldn't connect to my PC. I tried different phones, they all gave different errors like there was not response from network, unable to obtain IP. etc. I thought using the command prompt may be the cause of the problem so, I decided to used Virtual Router.

So, Virtual Router was able to interpret the error message understandably. Which is
hostname could not be found
ip address could not be found
I tried all I could but didn't work!.
This was how I solved it.

Method Used

click start

Open Command Prompt by typing cmd and right click and run as an administrator. what we need to do first of all is to reset or renew the IP Address of your computer network to resolve any conflict in assigning IP.  type this in your command prompt:
ipconfig/renew
resetting ip address


Secondly, flush DNS Cache. This has to with the internet problem by typing:
 ipconfig/flushdns

windows unable to make connection

Now, you can now share internet connection with your PC Phone.
The method is applied when your phone is unable to make connection with windows hotspot and also when Virtual Router says:
Hostname could not be found and
P Address could not be found

      muzammil mohammed check how to create a hotspot in windows using this link http://myeaseguide.blogspot.com/2015/02/creating-hotspot-for-windows-using.html. if virtual router software does not work, create it manually.

    Unfortunately it didn't help me. But thanx in any case. And I suppose it should be ipconfig/flushdns instead of ipconfig/dns ; )

    My laptop dont have an inbuilt WIFI adapter.
    I use Wifi adapter Digisol DG- WN3150nu.
    I have a LAN connection.
    Can i use both these and virtual router for sharing my laptop internet connection to my android phone.
    I tried your above method but it gives me the same error
    hostname could not be found and
    ip address could not be found

      Using external WIFI adapter does not really matter. to share your internet connection, create a hotspot using either virtual router or through your command prompt http://myeaseguide.blogspot.com.ng/2015/02/creating-hotspot-for-windows-using. but after hotspot is successfully created but refuses to share internet access use the above commands.

    Thanks, I think the link you shared is expelled.
    I tried creating hotspot using virtual router and did used the command prompt with your above commands.. but my problem which i mentioned above still remains..

      virtual router only explain the problem plainy, so the trick is create the hotspot manually and run the command. check out my tutorial on it http://myeaseguide.blogspot.com/2015/02/creating-hotspot-for-windows-using.html

    i've done all the steps, and it works except for the hotspot doesn't have any network access. i've shared the connection from my ethernet (the one with internet connection) to the virtual adapter. still, no internet can be used. please help

    After using the above commands, the virtual router software is not working.
    It is showing wireless local area connection is powered off and not supported.
