Window 8 update is turn on by default and it consume data, makes browsing slow sometimes because it runs on the background. will advice my readers to turn window 8 update off whenever they feel comfortable with the current version then update manually whenever you need it simple.
Normally the reason why I do turn off my window 8 update is because i own the right to be aware of anything going on within my operating system. Think about what may happen when updating automatically and ignorantly turn your computer off. again these are what causes bluescreen most time.
On the other way round for those who takes security as a priority always has to update automatically to fix some security bugs. Though these points are not the primary reason for these post. Here is how to turn off/on window 8 update.
1. Move your mouse to the lower right corner of the screen and moving the mouse up, tapping or clicking settings, tapping or clicking pc settings and then tapping or clicking update and recovery
2. Tap or click choose how updates get installed
3. Under Recommended update, select the Give me recommended update, the same way I received important updates check box
4. Under Microsoft update select Give update fir other Microsoft product when I update windows check box and then tap or click apply.
